Southern Prime Steakhouse is hands down the best resturaunt in Moore County. The staff is very professional, courteous, and knowledgable. Everything on the menu from the wine selection, salads, appetizers, main courses, desserts, and of course the steaks are all amazing. The 45 day dry aged ribeye is the best steak on the menu in my opinion. Pair it with a bottle of Silver Oak and you wont be disappointed. Next time... View all feedback.

There was an issue with our server from the start. My husbands wine glass was dirty, she did ask if we wanted drinks we had to ask. She didn't give us options, she was short with her replies -perhaps she was new, appeared uncomfortable with inquiries........My steak was phenomenal my husband's rib-eye was tough, green beans overcooked. We will definitely return hopefully with a different server. She said there was an... View all feedback.
1. News to us tonight- Southern Prime doesnt serve USDA Prime beef any more Angus. Might be time to change name to Outback or Texas roadhouse. 2. Red wine in glass doesnt come at 55-65 but at poor room temprature 70-75 to start. They need a sommelier or wine course. 3. Most of corporate America thinks consumer who is spending his money is stupid. But their is a smarter half who will walk away once they feel scammed, Starbucks, Marriot, Hyatt amongst a few who need to take note. But when the people in power decide to print money for 2 to 3 decades to get out of trouble we cant expect much from the businesses too.
They need to revisit the green beans and sides they are truly awful.....
This Registered Dietitian fully endorses the sea scallops, harvested fresh from the pristine, clean ocean waters of nearby Carolina coastline. These are select scallops seared with care and culinary finesse.. My dish awakened the aquatic food lover in me. Part II Select sea scallops from Roakoke Island so savory, I decided to return for a second serving. This time, my plate posed for the camera like some runway supermodel.
Food, drinks, and service was awesome. Being in the service industry you have high standards but typically cut some slack however none was needed here. The server was great but didn't over-serve even though she was very busy. Filet was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I don't give out 5 stars very easily but this place most definitely deserves it. Great job and I'll be back.
First of all, Whitney, our server was great. The lobster bisque was pretty good as well. The reason for the 2 stars comes down to the steak. I ordered a ribeye, which is usually a safe bet in a steak house. Unfortunately, my steak was unbelievably tough, over cooked, (I ordered medium rare, this was beyond well done). My wife's steak was also overcooked. A steak house should at least be able to get steak right. The lobster tail my wife ordered was mealy and fishy. I would just chalk it up to a bad night if we were at Outback, but this meal was nearly $300 for 2 people. My expectations were much higher than what we were served.
