The Parsons Barn - Southend-on-Sea

This restaurant is a good choice for a casual meal. It has a nice outdoor seating area for the summer and a cozy fireplace inside for the winter. They offer a standard menu, but have started serving a rotation of good quality ales at affordable prices every few weeks. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. Conveniently located next to the Asda bus station for those needing a ride home after a few drinks.

I just enjoyed a delicious curry and drink at a very affordable price. The venue was nice, although it was quite chilly inside today. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

We recently returned to this restaurant and found the service to be friendly, quick, and efficient. The food was delicious and served hot. We have been to other Wetherspoons locations, but we believe that the food at this particular restaurant is the best. Overall, a great experience.

I know it's not the staff's fault and they were all fantastic and friendly, but what the hell has happened to the Wetherspoons burgers? One used to be plenty. Well, today I ordered the American burger and it came out looking like something a primary school would give you. It'd make a McDonalds happy meal look big. Ended up ordering a second one and still left feeling hungry. Come on Tim, what's that all about? Great service though. Nice beer.

My recent visit to Parsons was a complete letdown. The burger was sickly, chips were cold, and the cheese tasted awful. The bacon in the wife's panini was soggy (apparently crispy), the rice was clumped and cold, and the kids' pasta seemed like tomato soup poured over it. The only saving grace was the strawberry yoyos. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling physically sick. I cannot recommend Parson Barn due to the subpar food quality.
