We had lunch in this pub and I have to say it was very good. Came as a surprise as the food was better, then some of the more expensive places around the area. Great location and service was very welcoming and friendly. Small inside, but very cozy. Definitely worth a visit, but make sure you book as it has to do. View all feedback.

We stopped at lunch and got a table without reservation. We ordered duck cake and steakcake. Both dishes tasted very well, especially duck cake great taste.
Beautiful sitting outside in the sun with a delicious seafood cellar and a glass of wine and table service, so you don't need to remain silent. We are lucky with a table so would recommend booking.
Visited this pub and had lunch. There are tables outside in a paved area over a narrow street right outside the pub. The weather was nice, so we sat outside. Floods the Thames Estuary. The waiting staff was very attentive and we were served our drinks really fast, although the outside seats were very busy. You can order at your table by scanning a QR code that calls the menu or order directly from the waiting staff. Good selection of appetizers and main courses and parts of plates. We chose both fish and chips (Haaddock). Food came quickly served on right plates and drinks in the right glasses. Fish was delicious, skinless, crispy seasoned beerbatter, triple cooked chips that were perfectly cooked, mushy peas and a real tartaric acid sauce. A small handle, and it's really just because it's a pet hate from me, is that mayonnaise, ketchup etc comes in bags, but it's irrelevant really. Has not seen the interior of the pub except to use the toilet facilities. This is the type of pub where you can eat a long time, drink and spend a look at the great view. Another plus is that it is a large seafood bar next door and you can eat your seafood at the pubs when you buy drinks. We loved it and will definitely be back and forth
Sat outside on Saturday of jubilee weekend. The pub had supplied a great singer who got the whole pub involved a lot of Union Jack waving. Very patriotic. The staff could not be more friendly. great having a window to serve outside. Lots of people but no queues so bar staff must be very efficient. Jellied eels, pints, sunshine. Could not ask for more.
