We held my father's wake at the Chalkwell Park rooms and from start to finish, Richard and his staff were extremely helpful. They alleviated any stress on an emotional day for us. Richard was very prompt in responding to all my emails, and the buffet was excellent and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them for any event. I'm so disappointed with the little kiosk that adjoins to, possibly part of Chalkwell Park Rooms. It's an honour to be the ones serving the community here. The staff are miserable and unhelpful, the prices are extortionate, the tables where you eat the food you have purchased from them are filthy sitting on rubbish and cigarette butts that are never cleaned up. The evening at this restaurant was absolutely wonderful, thanks to the delicious food, excellent service, and friendly staff. It was an annual charity dinner with around 50 guests in attendance. The menu was extensive and the wine list was satisfactory. The venue also had an overhead projector and large screen for a presentation. Overall, it was a fantastic evening that greatly contributed to raising funds for the charity. Kudos to Richard and his team for a job well done!
We reserved this venue for a wedding reception on October 22nd. The room rental is based on hourly rates, with catering added on top. We chose the option with ten food items. Our guests were impressed with the venue and the food, and we had a fantastic evening. A big thank you to Richard for making everything go smoothly.
We held our daughter’s first birthday party at Chalkwell Park Rooms and it was a wonderful experience. The communication from Richard from the start of the booking process was excellent, and the service from the staff on the day was very attentive and efficient. The room was a perfect size, with ample room for all of our guests and an indoor bouncy castle and soft play set! The food for the buffet was also really good, and had lots of compliments from our friends and family. It is my first time using the venue but I wouldn’t hesitate to book again, the staff made it such a seamless process for us all. Thank you!

I hired Chalkwell Park Rooms for my daughter's 5th birthday party. There is plenty of space and the staff were all very helpful and helped to make everything run smoothly. I also booked catering through the venue which was really good food and more than enough for the party. Lots of comments on how good the chicken nuggets were! Would use this venue again.
