Café Hogar Del Mar - Southend-on-Sea

Great food, everything you would expect from a tapas restaurant. The menu was the right choice, not too little and not too much, had 6 dishes that were more than enough for 2 of us. Good choice of beers if I didn't drive, I would have tried the wine list and the sherry. Friendly and dedicated staff. Definitely a goal on Broadway for something more adventurous than a pizza or burger, try it!

This review is LONG overdue! In February, my husband and I spent a week in Leigh on Lake. We were on this wonderful tapas bar that was torn away at the end of the arcade, and we were not disappointed! The Espresso Martini was excellent and the various tapas plates we ordered were delicious! We visited 4 times a week we were there. I think the owner served us for the first time and then we had other waiting staff and they were all very friendly. If we are ever back in Leigh by the sea, we definitely plan to stop this.

The best tapas I had outside Spain. Service was top-class and the menu was fantastic. Every dish we tried was brilliant and we got a free bottle of house wine because it was a Wednesday. First of many visits, thanks for a great evening!

We had a lovely experience at Hogar! The food was fabulous, service was personal, and the sauce was better than Gaga's grandma in NYC! Gorgeous! Definitely be back to try more soon. Thank you folks!

Delicious tapas. Delightful staff. Lovely ambience- felt like I had been transported from Leigh to Spain! Look forward to visiting this little gem again!
