I visited the pop-up cocktail bar "Park Lane" by the river and enjoyed stunning views along with some excellent Sangria with my fiancée. It was a very romantic experience. I highly recommend it! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pure South:
Good food (albeit expensive) but little atmosphere. I read about this place in Broadsheet years ago but I suspect it has been “sports bar ified” since then. Went for a meal on a winter’s evening. The whole snapper and salad were delicious, and the staff attentive, service prompt. But the lighting and the music leave a lot to be desired. The upstairs dining area features a beautiful ambiance and a lovely view of the kitchen. It can be a bit noisy, but the food is absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and care.
Pure South is a lovely venue with impressive food that is beautifully presented. While the service was satisfactory, it was clear that more staff were needed to handle the number of diners. I'm hesitant to recommend it to friends because the noise level during our visit was overwhelming. It didn't make for a pleasant, relaxing evening. We had to shout to hear each other at the table, which was quite disappointing.
This place has always been incredible, but after a major renovation, it just keeps improving. The menu features mostly local Tasmanian cuisine, which has consistently been fresh and delicious! The chefs here are truly outstanding!
Grilled octopus w/ pesto cannelloni would easily inhale 10 of these dishes great balance of flavour and texture! Would have loved more on the plate 7/10 for portion, taste and vibe
Delicious feeding ground in the centre of Southbank!<br/ <br/ Located directly across from Flinders Street Station on Southbank, Pure South Dining offers a dining experience of pure quality. <br/ <br/ Whilst the prices are higher than other lunch locations in the area, it also provides a higher standard. <br/ <br/ Pictured are the Hotcakes from the breakfast menu.
