the burgers were great, and the huh was very decent. the mac and the cheese were very disappointing and runny, so our server changed it for the mozzarella sticks that were amazing! great service and decent eating. View all feedback.
What James wilson doesn't like about Red Dog Saloon:
Was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. A very rude waitress and a manger. Completely unacceptable, never experienced anything like it in all years of eating out. View all feedback.
I love this place! a table booked that was a good idea, like a lively place! our server was very helpful, gave big suggestions and recommended. service was fantastic. ordered the burger with speck, black pudding and erdnussbutter a new combination, but so delicious- highly recommended and will try again! cocktails were also delicious.
On the afternoon after the cinema. busy, that's good, it's a Saturday, it's pay weekend for many people. we were sitting between two big groups, both of which were extremely annoying until we couldn't talk. when we were sitting, we are asked what drinks we would like us not even to have set ourselves right, let alone look at the menu. in the first 5 minutes of sitting we had 3 different waiting staff asking us what we wanted to order, very hastily we ordered some mozerella sticks. they were beautiful. we then ordered hauptseher themselves order pastrami burger with a side of chips. my partner ordered the Cuban sandwich. these came within minutes the sandwich for the price advertised was tiny and saturated in Grease/Oil to the point, the brot glued to the paper and then feel apart. my burger again saturated rolls and shattered the chips share was tiny. we love red dogs, but the experience this evening was terrible as running in a youth club of teenagers. a glass was dropped and exploded with glass that goes anywhere without failing to go, but it caused the whole restaurant to break. the experience as a whole was disappointing and did not want to return me and my partner to their facility. £60 wasted, we were literally in and out within half an hour. poor service bad quality only to poor.
I have a new favorite castle. the philly cheeseburger here is immense! good service, not to pricy. will try again the Karnivor plate when I am back in southampton.
1. Let's go to the red dog saloon. we wanted to try out a restaurant. eating was amazing. the personal asked how they wanted to cook their burgers. there are no meal options so that they have to buy the items separately. the staff was friendly helpful. it didn't feel rushed. the atmosphere was great. loved the feeling of the restaurant. I would say one thing, though the music was very loud. we visited on a Sunday evening, not too busy, which was great. I've tried to hear some of my people sometimes with the music. but absolutely loved eating. I ordered that the burger erdnussbutter was not disappointed. was very happy with the amount of frying that they received as a side order the tweeper rings were perfectly cooked. I think only £60 for 2 burgers, 2 pommes is a little expensive. there is added a 10% service fee, no matter which size party they are. other places add this only if they are a party of say 6 or more. there were 2 of us, thought that was a little bit naughty. but cannot owe food service. I don't know if we were going back. other places do similar foods at a better price. but we had a great date night.
My son took me here yesterday for my birthday. My husband is in a wheelchair, they tucked him away in a very awkward seat. The drinks menu is very limited and the food is well over priced. £150 for 4 of us and that was just a main course and 1 round of drinks. Then I was disgusted to see they slapped a 10% service charge on top which I don't recall seeing on the menu. Won't be going back there again.
