Ed's Easy Diner Southampton

We visited solely for the milkshakes, so our evaluation is based on that alone. The milkshake we had was phenomenal, reminiscent of those you’d find in a classic American diner. It was thick and flavorful, truly excellent. Not many places in Great Britain manage to serve a milkshake like this—among the few I’ve tried, it really stands out. A little tip: definitely go for the chocolate and peanut butter mix; it’s the best combination ever!

This American restaurant has a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of happy days. The menu offers a good variety of options, including an acceptable plant-based section. The service was friendly; I was informed that I might have to wait around 10 minutes for my meal, which was perfectly fine, but my food arrived even before that time was up. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

When the fire alarm went off in the shopping center and everyone was evacuated, we were initially concerned since the restaurant is located on the fourth floor of West Quay. However, the staff ensured that our group, which included a person in a wheelchair, was safely assisted and quickly brought to safety by a team member. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We had dined there twice before and loved our meals, but I wanted to write this review to highlight the amazing team and exceptional customer service we experienced.

Excellent service delicious food! the milkshakes were amazing

Great service, and food. Managed to cope well with what I assume was being understaffed. Only 2 servers, but they worked their socks off, and kept us updated on waiting times to be seated. Once seated we were tended to promptly and courteously. If you decide to get the spicy hot dog, it is quite hot. And, personally, I'd not go with the vegan hot dog: the texture was pretty weird. Definitely grab a milkshake or three. Really yummy. Enjoyed the Oreo one very much!
