Back in the Admiral, it's before midday and a good number of tables are taken. It's a typical Wetherspoons building with a high ceiling and an interior that could've been a bank. The bar is long with plenty of staff serving and there's a great choice of ale, Abbot at £2.29. What Gourmandsouth doesn't like about Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis:
My daughter and I called in for lunch as she knew the pub well. I just had Nachos which were delicious. The barman was good, but the waitress was sloppy and unprofessional. View all feedback.
My last review was blocked so try again. Just avoid this place the staff are rude the managers even worse. When you call out the lack of basic customer service they bar you.
Completely unwelcoming and rude establishment. Very unfriendly staff/management!!! I am certain that I will give this establishment a miss in the future and advise any prospective visitors to do likewise.
Charming atmosphere, quick service, very reasonable prices, good food, friendly staff The only negative point is they are run out of chips, despite it was half-past twelve only, so we have had to order jacket potatoes
Rated one star would be zero if permitted.Staff unhelpful and arrogant. Very little covid restrictions enforced. Tables dirty, hand sanitizer empty, toilets filthy. Would not revisit should be better than this for a national chain. Duty manager on evening of 29/8 needs retraining in hospitality management
Typical spoons. Great atmosphere and great, cheap food. Cheap pints. Friendly staff. Pleasant experience. Was extremely hung over but still enjoyed it.
