Gerry's Fast Food - Southampton

This is a simply chip truck with yummy french fries, poutine, etc. The server was very pleasant and friendly, even with a huge line up of people. We also did not have to wait very long for our food.

After a day at the beach, we had to try local, fresh cut fries. It was excellent. I fully recommend it.

The Southhampton beach sidewalk is a beauty. It is clean and close to the big waves and you get a free view of the beautiful cottages lining the beach, but from a different angle. And if you walk far enough, say fifteen minutes from the big Canadian flag at the centre of town, you will find yourself at Gerry's Fast Food stand. Now this is the cleanest chip stand I have ever seen. The kitchen looked spotless from the order window, and so did the workers. You order from the window and then sit on benches, or stand in the sand and enjoy the view. We had an order of fries which were plentiful, fresh and fried in very good oil so that they were tasty and crisp and golden brown. Take a walk and enjoy the food. It's worth it. One caveat, the place gets very crowded around noon.

The fries are amazing and the ice cream is great too. The lineups can be a little long but it is worth it to get your grease fix for the week.

I have tried several places and Gerrys is the only place that knows how to make a great hot dog. Do not order a medium fry because you will need three people to help you eat them. Great amount of food for your money.
