Contribute Feedback What Caroline Schmidt likes about Chippewa Golf & Country Club:
Please see my review and comments from August 2017: I stand by my previous assessment that this course has improved, with well-maintained fairways and greens, new sand and sod bunkers, and improved drainage. The layout is open and forgiving, making it suitable for golfers of varying skill levels. The 6100-yard tips will appeal to more experienced players, while the challenging hole 10 with its large pond offers a str... View all feedback.
What Adell Gottlieb doesn't like about Chippewa Golf & Country Club:
Course going through some facilities renovations. The day we played course was very, very wet and soggy - yet carts were allowed on course. Not sure if excessive water was from natural causes or over-watering by turf staff, but conditions were poor. Greens OK, but needed a bit more care. This struck me as situation for all aspects of the course. Won't play here again. Felt this represented very poor value for the mon... View all feedback.
Please see my review last year, then underline it. this track (now "southampton g cc" for two years) is getting better and has surpassed after our opinion sauble g cc as a fun and inexpensive venue. this curs was once. the poorest of the 5 local courses we play in this area of bruce. However, it has improved much since the new property has taken over. green are immaculate, and the fairways are now well maintained and make new challenges on this familiar course. to speak of little water, with many straight holes, it still poses a challenge for the mid to high-handicapper. very accommodating pro-shop staff. at $65 with basket this cure is a better value than sauble golf country club (see my review.) in the did we canceled a second round at sauble and instead played here. and bonus! it has wild truthahn.
Since the change of property a few years ago, this track is further improved. (until ta accepts my editing, the name change from chippewa occurred directly after the new property. once in quite rough condition, now its greens rival sauble and juicy golf courses. fairways. we like this cure because he doesn't beat you, is flat and so much walkable and makes fun to play. players with high to medium handicaps will really enjoy this course. $40 to foot, seniors prizes on Monday.

The layout is open and forgiving, making it suitable for golfers of varying skill levels. The 6100-yard tips will appeal to more experienced players, while the challenging hole 10 with its large pond offers a strategic test for all. This course now rivals Sauble Golf in quality, yet remains a bargain at only $40 for a weekday round. It's worth noting that the name change seems to have gone unnoticed by some.
My wife and I have been starting our yearly round of golf at this course for the past 15 years. While my wife isn't an avid golfer and prefers shorter courses, she was pleased with the improvements made by the new ownership of Southampton G&CC. The pro shop still maintains its rustic charm from 1963, but has recently been remodeled to include a dining area and bar. We noticed significant improvements in the grooming and care of the course, particularly the greens. The fescue on the last hole has been cut back, making it more playable. Overall, we feel that Southampton G&CC now compares to Sauble Golf Club, and we believe it will continue to improve in the future.
Cottage country golf course. only $40 to foot seemed good. the 5.800 yds had a slope of 128. greens quite small, but excellent to on. two of our group rented decent clubs/pull cards for just $17. luv the 10th hole. A 475 par-5 from the middle tees with a 50 yd wide pond 170 from the green. there were so many complaining of those who had a 50 yd wide pond 170 from the green.
