We were pleasantly surprised to find a Chinese restaurant here in Yunderup that offers a variety of dishes that you might find in Hong Kong. While the restaurant does offer popular dishes like chow mein and sweet and sour pork, those with more discerning taste will be delighted to find authentic style Chinese cooking. You can count on being served local fresh ingredients such as beef, pork, oysters, cuttlefish and fr... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Murray Lakes Chinese:
Do you want our business or not. Not friendly. Grumpy and put jacket on said have you finished because time to close. Quite rude really. Shame because food was really good. View all feedback.
All the dishes we ordered lacked flavour. The lamb didn’t taste right, noddles were all stuck together and clumpy, the mixed vegetables were uneatable. Don’t waste your money.
Got take away, prawn dishes one the prawns were over cooked, the other they were undercooked different dishes) Lady behind counter kept asking customers to pay cash rather than card (ATO would be interested). Lady behind counter had trouble understanding English and other...counter staff (young woman) had to check on availability of products/dishes with older lady before orders could be taken.
We have take away from here quite regularly and find it to be very good. Comparable prices and portions to other Chinese Restaurants. Friendly staff and speedy preperation. There is a well designed eat in area which is but if required
Had lunch at Murray Lakes Chinese Restaurant and disappointed. Ordered Sweet Sour Pork (it was cooked using frozen pork so had a funny aftertaste), Honey Chicken (too sweet for our liking), Fish in Spring Onion Ginger (ok dish), chicken and corn soup year old daughter who loves corn soup took mouthfuls and rejected), fried rice (my hubby said taste like Fan Choy sold at dim sum stall), Fried Wanton (average), and steamed rice (the only food both Rachel and Jovan ate). Paid in total. Expensive and yet unsatisfied. Suggest to avoid unless you do not have much choice. My children (aged and are sucker for Chinese food (read: rice or noodles) hence we gave it a shot.
We visited with our family of I was put off to see greasy plates before the food arrived they certainly had not been washed correctly, we waited a long time for the food to arrive and when it did the dishes did not arrive...together with some members of our group waiting along time for their meal. We did complain but the staff were not interested. We will not return.
