so bad that the lack of warm reception and rude service ruined the experience. the food itself was very impressive, but an hour to wait for it to be presented to us, it was not worth it! we were told that we were also cleaning our table in 15 minutes, even though it was eating an hour late, not sure why we had to hurry when they forgot to take us right at the first place. there was no knowledge of the personal when y... Beautiful venue with attentive staff and AMAZING high tea experience. Highly recommend!!
Our experience didn't get off to a great start. A not so warm welcome, made to feel more like a burden that we had a double pram and waitress was quite salty. No explanation of the menu or tea for what was our first experience at Yugen. Tea was tasty, but was fully decanted from the tea pot into a glass beacon which made the tea go cold very quickly. Saving grace was the food. Easily the best afternoon tea/high tea in Melbourne. Could not fault anything food wise. Sensational! The labour and effort going into each element is unrivalled, therefore price point is justified.
A place that can satisfy your five senses. Wonderful.
The tea flight experience was awesome. I learned a lot about the past of British tea spy and got to taste different tea.
This was the ultimate treat Thibault and his team spoiled us and the food was remarkable thank you! Loved it!
