What User doesn't like about The Mill On The River:
We sat at a table on the terrace, which was pleasantly heated and quiet. The service was excellent and quick, although it felt a bit rushed towards the end. I ordered the four-egg omelet, but it seemed more like a two-egg portion, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, I was surprised to find out that all the side items cost an extra $4.95 each. Very delicious meals, well plated. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Prix fixe menu is an excellent value. The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent. The only criticism I would have is that the server be able to provide separate checks when requested or at least split the check for the diners when multiple forms of payment are used. This service would provide a happier ending to a meal.
Staff were so great. Very friendly attentive and quick. Food was good, nice brunch options. Nice basket of bread. Overall very nice place. Cute atmosphere.
Amazing experience all the way around! Love this place and will be back.
3 scantily clad gals gabbing and gossiping, giggling and ogling standing at the maître d’ station at the entry and none of them paying any attention to the guests waiting to be seated. They’re so wound up on their private gabfest that Ya feel afraid to interrupt them to get them to do their job. And why 3? Waiter was nice enough; but just after opening a bottle of wine, ya pour a small amount in the glass of the person who ordered and ya wait. Ya wait until the taster nods before filling any other glasses at the table. And ya quickly twist and pull up the bottle to avoid drops on the table cloth. Not our waiter. Filled all the glasses and left dribbles for a trail. Unfortunate There’s a wait person who delivers a roll to you and disappears. Never came back to offer a second. The salmon we ordered was very nicely done but not remarkable; the Chilean bass was sitting in a lovely lovely sauce of great flavor and was a delight it was outstanding. Desserts were competent but not outstanding People across from us were dressed in gymshorts (sweaty) and t shirts; several extremely casually dressed customers came through; does nobody dress for a dinner at a somewhat more upscale establishment such as this or such as this used to be. We in jacket and tie were clearly overdressed. Next time we’ll have arrive in speedos. Lovely setting, lovely interior spaces, mediocre service, better than average food pleasantly presented. Priced a little high for the experience, but that seems to be ever more and more common these last few years
