We had dinner here, easy to find just around the corner off main street and was close to our accommodation at the caravan park. Typical Thai restaurant, lots of people dining here, so a good sign. We enjoyed our meal and would go back next time we are visiting. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thai On The Rocks:
We got takeaway and ordered pad Thai which was nice but the chilli garlic and basil had dry basil flakes no fresh chilli like it stated and tasted like a pepper sauce and the Thai fried rice was super oily. I did have high expectations tho after reading all these other wonderful review's View all feedback.
The server had a bad attitude right from the start, refused to seat us, and when we pointed out the numerous empty tables, she told her manager, trying to intimidate us. We were warned that the wait for takeout could be hours. The manager was also rude. Not recommended.
The young staff members need to write their own reviews! The food was terrible and unbalanced. We ordered a dish with garlic, chili, and basil, as well as a dish with bark and cashews. We couldn't distinguish between the two sauces, except that one was overly peppery.
The meal was superb and the service was exceptional. The Thai cuisine had an authentic flavour, with the option to make it extra spicy. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant when we visit South West Rocks again.
If they have a break in a city like this, they certainly do not expect to cook as good as that! do not be fooled by the presentation of the restaurant, how important it is when eating meets her palate. absolute quality thai from a self-exposed Thai food addiction!
Excellent food. Great customer service Highly recommend the massaman beef and pad Thai. Spring rolls are incredible
