Sappho Meze - South West London

Three years ago I spent a week in a medium-sized town in the flatland west of thessaloniki: no landscape, no beach, no tourist. I and my partner ate every night good and cheap. eating in sappho meze is like eating that we ate in alexandreia. no mistake, it is not what they get in mykonos or chalkidiki, or in taverns called mad Greek or whatever, but it is Greek eating, and as such I loved every healthy mouth.

Put them Meze menu for all that is changed in suit vegan or vegetarian. price is 14,50 per person. the food comes in two wells the first is many next to dishes, and the second is more complete main courses. the inner was dark and old, and the restaurant is run by a very old school Greek that cooks and serves. he was friendly, but much murmured. the food itself was not tasty in my opinion. of the many directed stood nothing but delicious, and some dishes had very strong strange taste. I have traveled a week and eaten 2/3 times a day in vegan restaurants. this was by far the most expensive meal that I and my friend 44 shared for two beer and 2 set menus, and also the worst quality (in terms of eating / ambiente). I wouldn't recommend it.

We were served without knowing the menu. the food was served by one, and the taste was not bad, but was not good. the rod was very friendly and the price was more expensive than I thought.

Eating was absolutely amazing I had the vegetarian option....no set menu they just wait to see what they will be, great idea. good and friendly atmosphere and cheap. the personal was very nice and attentive would go back and recommend to everyone. had got 5 stars, but it wouldn't leave me.

Interesting start. I asked for vegan and the guy told me to have vegetarian; he then told me that vegetarian was better for me as I'd get osteoporosis with vegan food... I wasn't sure what I'd get. He then made some spurious health claims about different foods as they arrived... I did get all vegan food in the end. The guy was great though; it was all meant in good jest so vegans will need to go in armed with a sense of humour. The food was good, there was lots of it and it was great value at £12.50 for the numerous meze dishes. Nice to have a Greek place on here, but there are other more vegan/veggie-centric options in the area.
