Taj Balti - South Tyneside

I am a regular customer of this curry house and the food is always excellent. I placed a delivery order last night but when it arrived, my onion bhajis were missing. I immediately called the restaurant and they said they would send their delivery driver back with them. However, they did not arrive, so I called again tonight to inquire. They apologized, explaining that they had given them to the delivery driver to bring to us. They promised to send them out on Christmas Eve, despite being very busy. To my surprise, the owner of the curry house knocked on my door with the complete order, free of charge, as an apology. I was only expecting the onion bhajis, so I was extremely grateful for this gesture. This experience confirms that they are truly the best curry house in town, with a friendly staff. Anyone who orders from them will not be disappointed.

Lovely food, delivered hot and ready to eat, only problem was no keema in the ordered keema/garlic naan. Ordered something we’ve never heard of before but proved a good choice. Spicy chips, Bengal jalfrezi and tikka khushboo

We are frequent customers at Taj, and we recently placed an order for our son's 21st birthday. The food was amazing, of fabulous quality, and they really went above and beyond! We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely continue to order from these wonderful people. Thank you.

Beautiful food as always. Great portion size and choice. Been coming here for past 20 years. Never go anywhere else for a curry. Brill. Highly recommended.
