What User doesn't like about The Corner Shack:
We had the worst fish and chips that I've ever tasted. They were truly shocking. We ordered barramundi, and it was so thin there was no meat in it. It was like a bit of skin. It was far from being fresh and had a strong fish odour. It seemed to have been cooked hours previously and was completely dried out. The chips were the same, cooked ages previously and dried out. We had taken them with us to eat in a park, and... View all feedback.
I have just eaten the most delicious fillet of gluten-free crumbed fish and it was enormous. Lovingly crumbed in rice flour at the time of ordering and cooked in a dedicated gluten-free fryer, you won't get better in Tamworth. The golden brown rice flour crumbing is equal to or better than the regular bread crumb fried fish that you will encounter elsewhere. The hot chips were also perfect and if you need a hit of chicken salt, the Corner Shack have chicken salt in the gluten-free variety too.So for all the coeliacs in or visiting Tamworth, you no longer have to put up with a dried-out piece of fish from some other shop's grill. The Corner Shack has nailed crumbed fish so that you will never look back to the days when you ate gluten containing foods. But don't just visit The Corner Shack for the gluten-free fish. There is a whole lot more on the menu. The delightful sunny outdoor eating area is also fully fenced, so you can relax whilst the little ones run around, knowing they are safely contained. As for the staff, if you can walk through the door without being warmly greeted, I'll be very surprised. Service the way it used to be.

We had taken them with us to eat in a park, and had to throw them away, as the shop had closed after we left. The shop didn't look very clean either. I most certainly would never recommend this place.
I'd heard this place had the best fish 'n' chips in Tamworth but found it very ordinary. Service was OK, but the food not memorable.
