We went to Carmody's for my husband's birthday & enjoyed the "ladies lunch' menu which was very well priced for 3 courses. The barramundi was cooked to perfection and the pana-cota was delectable. The service is always first class and the restaurant is bright and cheerful. We would dine there regularly if we lived on the Gold Coast. What User doesn't like about Carmody's:
It is a lovely restaurant with, in our experience, excellent staff. The food is fairly expensive and a bit of a let-down. The mains we had (pork belly and roast duck) were dry with very little sauce and even less vegetables. The desserts looked like they were priced reasonably but we didn't try one. All in all, at over $120 for the meal plus wine, we don't intend going back. View all feedback.

Great night out. The variety of food was excellent and catered for all the needs of my friends. Namely vegetarian and gluten free. Good value for money and excellent serviceLiked the idea that no one hassled you to leave. Able to take time to enjoy my friends
Dined here recently for a birthday dinner and experience was pretty good. Restaurant pitches itself as fine dining ($40 mains, $35-$60 steaks) but unfortunately doesn't deliver the high quality food that one would expect from the prices. Presentation is great and staff terrific and very professional and attentive but taste isn't amazing. Great but not amazing.

On attending a sporting club my general expectations of the cuisine were moderate. Carmody's is the premier-end of the various eating options at the Southport Sharks facility, and we were in for a fantastic surprise! The food was extraordinary! Pork belly was done to perfection, and steak was the best I have had on the Gold Coast. Then came dessert! If you want an extraordinary experience, the apple/cranberry crumble was probably the finest dessert I have eaten in 5 years. Multiple flavours to complement the crumble, and a delightful finish that was not too sweet. Perfect end to a lovely meal. The staff were about average in their service, and the Manager is a delightful gentleman. In an area which sometimes struggles with the concept of fine dining, Carmody's was an example of great food. I will channel Arnie - "I'll be back!"
