What Mike2085 doesn't like about The Bell Inn:
Great food , great ale , nice staff and pub .....why the 1 star rating ?....avoid Sunday dinner unless you like screaming kids running wild , when requested politely to address the issue of a football team running around was met with not my kids and I suppose it 's because we don 't have a play area .....sort it because you are loosing trade . During the hours of 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday to Friday, the restaurant offers two meals for £15. I can confidently say that the meals are fantastic. I ordered the roast of the day, which included two large slices of turkey, peas, swede, brussels sprouts, new potatoes, and the best roast potatoes I've ever had. It was just the right amount of food. My wife had scampi with peas, tartare sauce, and a generous portion of chips, which she washed down with a glass of chardonnay and a pint of Black Country Special. All of this came to less than £23, making it an absolute bargain.
My husband and I went to this restaurant to celebrate his 50th birthday. Our server, Callum, was delightful and provided excellent service. All of our meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The food was fantastic and I will definitely be coming back again in the future.
I went to this restaurant with my friends for a meal. One of our friends had mentioned when booking that someone in our party was in a wheelchair. When we arrived, we were seated at a table with a space left for a wheelchair, which showed that they were considerate. Luckily, we didn't need the space as the person was able to walk. The table was beautifully large and comfortable, with a farmhouse style. We ordered drinks which were served by a lovely waitress, followed by our food order. We got 2 meals for £15, which was great value. We ordered 3 fish and chips, 1 roast dinner, and 2 liver and onions from the main menu. The portions were fantastic, beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was very relaxed with great background music. We would definitely go back again. The total cost for 6 people was less than £75, which was great value for a great pub. We were very grateful to the waitress. Thank you so much.

Went for lunch but was terribly disappointed, ordered from the garden menu the chicken wings with hot sauce, when it came to table the chicken was deep fried to destruction and at best it was a bone picking exercise to find any meat on the bones at all and a whopping £8 for a portion of said bone I left feeling totally ripped off, on complaining was just told my comments would be passed on. Won't be going back there for any food that's for certain
