a beautiful local fish and chip shop in the heart of the historic somerton. there are several routes to get to somerton. the fish and chips are the first guess. they sell all the usual favorites. some items have to be cooked to order. View all feedback.
What calmbays doesn't like about Tonys:
Absolutely shocked. This is supposed to be the best fish and chip shop around. Would like to know why they can’t fry the fish fresh to order? The fish itself is obviously of quality but the poor thing has been completely ruined. Batter was too thick and had sat under a heat lamp long enough that it had become soggy and oily. The best chippy I've ever had will be going back there to use it. everything is amazing. my parents even went there 30 years ago and it was the best then and the standards were the highest all the time. I went a year to the top rated chippy in the land and I had fish and chips of ricks place in padstow another time and I think tonys taste better than both. top notch.
She stayed before place and had dinner twice from here. both males were fish and chips excellent.
Beautiful cloby cod and crispy batter. I don't like them on chips, but I like them from tony.
Very friendly staff. I had chips, roe and curry sauce, the meal itself was very nice, did have some chips that had black spots on them towards the bottom that should of been discarded like most chippies do but overall the chips were nice. The roe itself was quite nice and the curry sauce was alright.
