The Secret Garden - South Somerset

The restaurant has undergone a transformation and is now a Portuguese café serving up traditional Portuguese dishes and snacks as well as English options like cooked breakfast. They also offer a variety of hot and cold drinks as well as alcoholic beverages. I stopped by this afternoon for a coffee and was met with friendly service, delicious coffee, and a lovely cup of custard tea.

We found ourselves in chard in the necessity of refreshment and a stretch of legs when we were our way from cornwall to hertfordshire sherborne a little further on was the goal, but the traffic paid on it and came across the secret garden almost once we walked through the parking lot. as we had a good meal a few days before in another secret garden in bideford before we took this as a sign and didn't look any further. food boiled to order a high standard and served in a quirky shabby chic interior that was reconfigured after closing and looks a bit shamboying on places with strange ball interior items for sale. the team has obviously raised the takeaway side and got used to a new layout, but the service was chatting and full of smiles, there is a large garden area on the back, very good value in the whole round.

Delicious, boiled to order the breakfast with everything they desire, plus a cup of free tee! for a powerful breakfast let in and with two portions frying boar with circumcisions and cocos sponge cake for dinner friendly, secret, perfect.

I sat in the garden of this beautiful caffe and enjoyed really good coffee. the owners are so helpful. I felt very safe in the environment they created. a real oasis.

We enjoyed secret garden before this lockdown. Now they are doing delivery, I can’t recommend enough. Wife and I just had a couple of cooked breakfasts and was quick delivery, fantastic food and reasonably price. Locals should support this fantastic cafe and when this is...all over visitors to chard and surrounding areas should go here.
