The Cross Keys Inn - South Somerset

We were looking for a pub that served meals near Babcary. We called ahead and reserved a table for the evening. This is a fantastic local pub with a good selection of food, beer, and cider. The food was delicious and not your typical pub grub. Everything we ordered, from the hot meals to the desserts, was tasty. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be returning.

We came across this inn by chance and were pleasantly surprised. With a variety of dietary requirements, we were all satisfied with the food. The service was exceptional and the chef was passionate about her menu. We will definitely return. Thank you.

My partner and I visited New Oaks Farm Lodges and decided to try out the recommended local pub, The Cross Keys. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The pub was very welcoming and had a great selection of ales, ciders, gins, and more. We also had dinner there and were blown away by the quality of the food. The sirloin steak and fish and chips were particularly impressive - both the fish and the steak were fresh and cooked perfectly. We would definitely return to The Cross Keys, even though we live quite far away. Highly recommended!

We were on the camping site on the back for an overnight break and booked a meal. amazing eating, beautiful staff, beautiful ambiente. we will be back

We stayed in the campsite at the back of the pub and ate here three times during the week. The food is imaginative and delicious and the portions are big (we had a starter the first time, but not after that The wild mushroom ragu...with pasta was my absolute favourite so good, I had it on two out of the three visits (and I'm not even a vegetarian my husband loved the river mussels and the feather steak and the chocolate brownie and pear and ginger sticky pudding were both to die for! The beer and cider selection is excellent and changes regularly, so plenty of variety and the staff are all absolutely lovely. There really was nothing we could fault and we're looking forward to a return visit.
