Landlord rude ,always drunk. Terrible place .won't ever go there again. Don't recommend to anyone.

I went out for a quiet drink with friends. The owner, who was intoxicated, tried to create a problem where there was no issue. He was not only rude, but also physically threatening when confronted about his behavior. I will be reaching out to the brewery to address this matter.

Staff are rude and you being there seems to be a burden for them. It looks like a lovely old time pub from the outside but don’t be fooled. It’s a drinking ground for the guy and his mates no one else will feel welcome avoid at all cost

The man in charge of this establishment is terrible. His attitude is awful and he is always intoxicated. There are plenty of words I could use to describe him, but none are appropriate for TripAdvisor.

Someone should tell the landlord he is in the HOSPITALITY trade, which should translate as making your customers feel welcome. Been overcharged by rude staff more than once. This week I heard landlord say to a lady querying a price that if she didn't like it to drink somewhere else. Unbelievable.
