What Millieguinness12345 doesn't like about Halfway House:
If you want dry bread, burnt bacon and terrible customer service then your like this pub, when mentioned to the lady who cleared out plates she didn’t went to know rude unfriendly and unpleasant, Never returning what a dark , awful place inside . Unless your a local View all feedback.
My wife had the scampi and I had the venison burger with black pudding(the best burger I have ever had). Chips crispy on the outside, floury on the inside. We then shared a delicious chocolate brownie with ice cream. Superb food, friendly welcoming service next to a warm fire on a cold day.
Great afternoon of New Orleans piano music played by Diz Watson with the solid double bass playing by Dave Hatfield and Adie on drums sitting in for the 93 year old Tony Uter who was unable to come from London. Great food, great beers, ciders and wines and wonderful punters dancing and enjoying themselves at this wonderful pub. I just love it.

I drank here about 15 years ago when I lived in the opposite. please report, it has not changed. the perfect pub.
This wonderful pub is in the times top 20 pubs in Great Britain. I cannot speak for the other 19 (although I may have visited unimaginable others, but these prices in my top 3 pubs; huge portions of excellent eating, an open tape room, with beer wonderfully well maintained, great staff and great jäger. if they like a great atmosphere, great personal, great beer, great eating and around the friendliness (we are honest; who not? that is the point. bravo the boiler room, that is the personal! I can't wait to go back.
