I wasn't there when it was in the afternoon, but it looked very impressive. they had outside seats with heating all very nicely made tasteful. the menu was varied, but they can only go for drinks. I thought it was worth checking the .worth s visit it was born after a south shields lad in 1892 and died of anzio cove galipoli in 1915. he was a stretchable bear and he and his donkey duffy were mentioned in a book about the war

Very large, high public house located on the king street, a well maintained pedestrian zone in the heart of south shields. large bar with the usual gin, around, wodka, whisky and cocktails. the menu is traditional, with burgers and steaks and varied at a reasonable price. I doubled my gin for more £1,50 there are sitting opportunities in the ground floor as well as upstairs and there is a pool table in the ground floor.

Excellent eating, great staff beautiful cold beer. would come back

The food is amazing, and the staff is wonderful. If you're in South Shields, it's a great spot for coffee or a pint as well. I highly recommend trying all three!
