We were booked in for Christmas Eve for 6 people. The food and service was top class and we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. I would highly recommend this place for a nice chilled out place to eat!! View all feedback.
What Dominic Clarke doesn't like about Bamburgh:
Came here today as green king pubs are normally decent standards wasn't impressed! We ordered fish and chips on the app 15 minutes later someone came out the kitchen and said there was no fish OK we change our meal then when it comes out the chips are undercooked! Come on guys it's chips! If you Can't get that right there's no chance! Definitely won't return pool table was in poor condition for a £1 a game aswel! Suc... View all feedback.
Decent ales on tap, menu is extensive and allergens are easily filtered within the app. Great view of The Leas, sea and mouth of Tyne with plenty of tables available inside and out. Family friendly.
We popped in for a quick lunch as we had not tried this pub previously. There are some unusual items on the menu such as the Korean Chicken burger along with the more standard pub fair. I tried the Korean Chicken burger , and another tried the Hunter's Chicken which is served on a gammon steak. These were both very good. My wife had the steak and was quite impressed. The pub is a very nice looking place with comfortable seating and the staff were quick and friendly. Prices were approximately 12 pounds a head at the time of writing so very reasonable. If there is one small critisism it's that the portions are slightly on the small side.. I had my burger, chips and half a friend's burger and my wife's chips too and didn't feel stuffed. I have a good appetite though. This is a Green King establishment and you have the option of ordering from the Green King app, if you like although, we didn't bother as it was easier going to the bar as the place was fairly empty at the time.. Recommended and I hope to go back to try some other items on this menu.
Food OK...... not really worth what was paid. Much better pub food in and around the area. I ordered Fish Chips battet had a slight burnt taste but fish itself nice. Frozen chips always a disappointment, garden peas were typical garden peas (which are my fav so no complaints) tartar sauce nice. £1.50 for 1 slice of dry bloomer was shocking, the butter was lovely and salty though and my favourite part of the meal strangely. Mum ordered scampi which she said was OK albeit a tad hard. Hubby had the signature hunters chicken which tbh did not look appetising but he seemed to enjoy and said was OK. Our little boy had nuggets and chips with carrot sticks (carrot sticks dry and not fresh) they also forgot about his dessert and after waiting 50 minutes for meals that were from a freezer and it now been after 7pm we had to leave has the toddler and baby were over tired. Disappointing. Won't try again as always seems to be an issue here it's been around 2 yrs since our last visit and still poor. Shame really cos its a lovely location over looking the dunes and sea and it's nice inside. Nothing fancy but it is clean and tidy. I would however use the pub for a drink due to its location.

Such a shame as theres great views from the pub.
Came in about a month ago for Saturday lunch, my husband wanted lasagne, we were told that it had just been taken out of the freezer so not available. This was about 1pm. A week later I ordered macaroni cheese not available. Today I ordered macaroni cheese not available apparently only available on Sundays. Ordered cauliflower cheese as a side no cauliflower cheese. Ordered a bottle of house red not available bought merlot £2 more expensive. We have been quite regularly since Covid finished but menus need to be updated if items are not available
