This doesn't seem like an Indian restaurant. Likely Pakistani. The difference being: the food was floating in some indescribable oil, it was spicy when specifically instructed to make it mild, the colour of the food was generally orange, the vegetables were difficult to distinguish because of the previous two characteristics of the dishes.
