Nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. Unfortunately, the food did not come close to my expectations. The fish I ordered (Mahi-mahi) was dry and the blackened style was nowhere near what I had experienced in other good restaurants. We loved having a quiet late lunch at Duvals. Two had the Savor Sarasota options and two had wonderful salads with the fresh catch. We all started with gazpacho and it was superb. Our server was fun and helpful and all around we had an outstanding experience.
The three of us all enjoyed our lunch at Duvall's. We all got the fixed lunch available at this time of year. My son really enjoyed his mahi-mahi rye sandwich and his chilled soup. My wife loved her salad and entrée. I ordered the shrimp special and although it was OK it lacked flavor. We all loved the crème brûlée for dessert.
Excellent food and superb service. We started out with delicious cocktails and enjoyed the fresh catch choosing grilled grouper. It was very fresh and delicious! One person in our party ordered Seafood Bouillabaisse and felt it was also prepared well and tasted wonderful. Very nice atmosphere right on Main Street in Sarasota. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely time at our first dining experience at Duval's. The service was perfect. We had Anatoliy as our server and his recommendations couldn't have been more spot on from drinks, apps, entrees and even dessert! He was so nice and made our experience even better! Plus, the food was incredible and SO fresh. We sat outside on a beautiful night so there were people walking by and cars were occasionally loud if that's something that bothers you, but our experience couldn't have been better and we can't wait to talk our friends and family there.
Good food, nice sidewalk seating shade), server was attentive. Parking: We were there around 4:30, plenty of places to park but by the time we left at about 8 it was getting very busy.
