Lidia's Deli - South San Francisco

I visited the restaurant and tried the Hot Honey Club sandwich, and it was phenomenal. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was incredible. I took the recommendation for the Dutch crunch bread, and it was perfect. I devoured the sandwich so quickly that I felt a bit embarrassed! The owner, Louie, and his son are great individuals. The potato salad reminded me of my family's recipe. If I didn't live in Hayward, I would come here every day!

The service for getting sandwiches is incredibly fast. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I usually order the Italian combo with all the fixings on Dutch crunch bread. It’s a fantastic little spot for a great lunch sandwich!

Delicious! While passing through, I was drawn in by how appealing it sounded. However, there’s no seating available for dining, and if you need to use the restroom, you'll have to go to the bar at the corner of the strip mall. The food quality and service were exceptional, earning an A plus from me. Unfortunately, it's not very convenient for travelers.

I absolutely love Lidia's! My sister always requests a sour hard roll, which not many places have (I prefer sweet rolls, though). Their deli sandwiches are perfect and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and laid-back. We usually call ahead to order, and it's always a breeze—just a quick "Got it, when will you be here?" This time, we also picked up some premade raviolis for another meal, and we decided to try the macaroni salad too. It was delicious and not overly flavored, which can be disappointing at other places. Without a doubt, we'll be back!
