I had gotten a product that I was dissatisfied with from Scratch recently and low and behold Scratch did the right thing and refunded my money to my credit card account without me asking them to do it. My confidence and admiration for Scratch Baking Company has been justified. This is the best place in greater Portland to get baked goods, sweet goods, breads, etc.. I recommend Scratch Baking Company not only for the quality of the products they bake, but for their business model It 's nice to see a company with 'old fashioned ethics '!!
This place might just make the best bagels on earth. They are definitely my favorite. My only issue is that they sell out so fast.
I am so happy that the toast bar finally opened up. It has an amazing menu and the employees are very kind in helping you. The restaurant has a few tables inside and a handful of picnic tables outside so that you can bring your dog. I’m speaking to the woman at the register, she quickly asked us if we needed some help and was happy to share some recommendations. Some of the current favorites are the chicken liver and smoked beef. Some of the undiscovered toast was the mushrooms! The chicken liver is smooth and creamy on top of a hearty bread. It was topped with rock salt and other herbs. The smoked beef was definitely the favorite out of the two! I would happy come back and try everything on the menu! Also, if you want wanted to get bagels from Scratch (I do this every time I visit SoPo), you can get bread and bagels here since the bread kitchen is right next door! Please note it is not open to customers, employees only. Parking can be tough as there’s not a lot of space, so try to carpool if possible.
Unique concept and perfectly executed! A low-key, comfortable, and casual spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Keep in mind the offerings are limited to toasts with spreads, all of which are great, but if you’re looking for something other than that format you’ll be disappointed.
Such a delicious spot!!! amazing creative options on all kinds of delicious bread bases. fun vibes and good coffee. I live around the corner and like to take my friends here when they visit.
