Last Friday evening, my family of fifteen dined at this restaurant and we were all impressed by the amazing food. We tasted almost every dish on the menu, including the perfectly cooked beef, lamb, and duck dishes. The portions were generous and we all had a perfect evening. We will definitely be returning. I was excited to try a club sandwich at The George Bistro. With a price tag of £12, I was expecting something delicious. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when it finally arrived after a long wait (despite there being only one other person in the restaurant) and found that one of the bread slices on the triple-decker sandwich was burnt black. This lack of attention to detail was disheartening - it would have been simple to re-toast another slice of bread. Even a sandwich from a gas station would have been a better option.

I was initially concerned at the lack of fellow diners but when the lunch was served I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Sunday roast beef and it was marvellous. My only minor critisim would be the amount of vegetables but not worth knocking the meal. Well done.
We thought we would have a Sunday dinner. Chicken was the only available option. When the food came it was hot but my meal could have done with a little more gravy. When I asked for some more I was advised that I would be charged £1.50 which I was surprised about. We didn't eat there again to be able to comment on other food. Decent size portion with a selection of vegetables and a yorkshire pudding. The Sunday roast was average and reasonably priced. This is a nice pub for a drink with a lovely courtyard and great staff. The Pimms and lemonade is fantastic with lots of fruit.
I decided to visit the Bistro on a whim last night. Our meals were delicious, the service was excellent, and we couldn't find any faults. I would definitely go back again.
