Bruxelles Brasserie - South Norwalk

Chef rolands last week, so we had to eat another meal! and it was not disappointed. probably one of the best cooks in our opposite so shamed that he will no longer be in bruxelles. Nevertheless thank chef roland for the countless incredible meals my wife and I had the last 3 years. prost!

We enjoyed another outstanding meal at Bruxelles Brasserie the other night. Chef Roland is a genius in the kitchen. Let's start with his soups. I call him the Soup King because of the depth of flavor in all his soups (this, of course, starts with his made from scratch broths and stocks). One of my all time favorites is his Mushroom Soup with Garlic Croutons and his seasonal Corn Soup is to die for. Outstanding Entrees are Boeuf Bourguignon (even better than in Paris), Rack of Lamb cooked to pink perfection with gorgeous creamy Mascarpone Polenta and the PERFECT Roasted Chicken Breast! BUT DO NOT RUSH TO BRUXELLES TO ENJOY THE MASTERY OF CHEF ROLAND. I was devastated to hear that he and the wonderful Front of House Manager, Angela, are leaving this week. What a sad, sad, sad loss. We frequented this Brasserie for the amazing food Chef Roland cooks. We were regulars on Thursday nights to enjoy his super authentic Chicken Paprikash and Pork Schnitzel and have held our family celebrations there for the past two years and were so well taken care of by Angela and her crew. We will miss Bruxelles. Will not be returning. No point with such a uber talented Chef now missing from the kitchen. It is rare to find a Chef/owner restaurant in this area, one who has passion for producing excellent food for the patrons and who really cares about drawing a regular and supportive clientele. Roland and Angela you will be sorely missed. Please keep your loyal followers informed where your next adventure will be. Hopefully, in this area. We need you both!!! Good luck.

We had a delicious meal at Taproot last night! The cocktails were inventive and so good. We were big fans of Jeff Taibe since Kawa Ni opened in Westport, so when we heard he was back in FF County, we couldn't wait to try Taproot and he didn't disappoint! Everything was delicious, but don't miss the chicken wings, Hamachi appetizer, and roasted chicken!

Taproot is one of the best restaurants in the area! So grateful to have them in Norwalk!

It was wonderful to enjoy Jeff and his staff incredible cuisine and take care of Steph and their home staff!! We look forward to return very soon!
