We are fortunate to have several excellent pubs in the vicinity, but if you're looking for a great spot with friendly hosts and atmosphere, this place is the place to go. We've been visiting more often lately and have come to enjoy Sunday afternoons with the meat raffle. What Lilyboat1 doesn't like about The Red Lion:
We met with friends here yesterday for lunch. Sitting in the sun having a drink it is a lovely setting in a beautiful village. We had booked lunch for four people,we didn't imagine we would be the only people in there. The waitress was polite and friendly. We were not offered a menu but had the choice of roast chicken pork or beef no mention of starters. They didn't have any peas for our friend who prefers them to oth... View all feedback.
Went for a few drinks with my gf been a few times decent priced drinks and nice staff always go back for a little pint or two
This is one of my preferred pubs. I regularly go with friends and family and we are always happy with our experience. The staff take good care of us and they always have a variety of beers for us to try.
This was my first visit to the Red Lion. My wife suggested it as her work colleagues like to go there. My first impression on entering was “what a lovely atmosphere”. The pub had such a lovely friendly vibe. The staff were also lovely. My wife and I are vegetarian and it was so nice and unusual to have to ponder on what to eat. There were far more options on the menu than we are used to. The food we had was fantastic and at, what I thought a very reasonable price. We will sure be eating at the Red Lion again.
Came here for a birthday lunch. Was very quiet for a sunny Saturday afternoon in out the pub. Really love the way this place is decorated. Service was fast friendly. I had the chicken burger. It was chicken thigh meat which isn’t my fave but it was nice, wouldn’t pick thigh meat if it was in a burger again though, it pulls apart weird when eating. Would defo come back here!

The pub always has a welcoming crowd, and while it can sometimes be quiet, it's also known to get quite lively, making for a fun time. The beer is always well-kept, and they now offer warm snacks like sausage rolls. The landlord and landlady are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great experience for their customers.
