the owner really cares about his pubs and his customers. it decorates them all to a high standard during the lock-off and currently operates a takeaway service at Compass-Inn. I had the day and it was delicious, even better than the one I had in morrocco. that is always welcoming and friendly View all feedback.

Not very welcoming at all we got the feeling we weren’t welcome as soon as we walked in!!! We waited at the bar to be served but because we had children with us we were trying to establish what they wanted to drink and we...took a couple of minutes to decide, the woman at the bar was so unprofessional she asked what we wanted then walked off in a huff to “one of the locals” and said “I’m not waiting all night for the... We had here a year ago such a beautiful experience that we decided to visit again, as it was our last night in the opposite after our tight boots holiday. we were very pleased to meet with the owner of the scarboro who reminded us and gave us a very warm welcome. as with our previous visit, eating was great, as was the atmosphere and inviting locals. the pub is the hub of this stunning village and is worth a visit.
After a busy day, we decided that we had earned a drink, so we stopped here to pay our reward, the nice pub, the menu looked good, and I will make sure we had something to eat next time. very welcome.
Six of us turned in this fantastic pub hoping to have a dinner after we had read good reviews about it. Unfortunately, they did not make any meal in this night, but the landlord/cook has heard us ask about meal times and said if we were willing to take a coffee, he would make some for us from a few he had in the kitchen. we agreed when we thought it was a good end for our close boots. we had drinks outside and were then called back into the bar where a truly stunning oriental banquet was laid before us. it consisted of at least twelve mouthwater dishes, much too much for us, so that it was also shared by the local. many thanks to the fact that they make the cook for the last night of our holiday very unforgettable for the right reasons. oh, and the homemade cheesecake was the best of all time. we will call again next year.

The only reason we went was because of the charity event!! But we would never return!!
