While Café Délices entices with a broad menu from breakfasts to delectable cakes—highlighted by fantastic scones and welcoming staff—Sophie's Bistro offers a cozy atmosphere with excellent service. Guests rave about the delicious Eggs Benedict and gourmet burgers, complemented by quality teas and coffees. Although some patrons experienced uneven customer service at Café Délices, the overall consensus celebrates the inviting ambiance and good value. Whether for brunch or lunch, both cafes promise a satisfying culinary experience in this quaint town.
Café Délices is a really nice place to eat all your favorite food. It serves dishes from breakfast, light meals and lunches. Also serves scones and cakes. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Popped in today for a late brunch coffee. Ordered Eggs Benedict as my favourite breakfast but really disappointed. Mainly because it had far too much hollandaise sauce. Served with pancetta (which I knew) just didn’t work...would suggest salmon, spinach or Suffolk Ham? Spoke to staff was offered (if not a little begrudgingly) something else but didn’t feel particularly welcome. Nobody seemed that interested I left. Not great customer service. Wouldn’t return.
Was Sophie's, now delucies. Lovely little place to stop of for a cuppa. Staff are excellent. Great service. And lovely scones...!
Popped in for a light breakfast on a Sunday as Sophie's opens earlier than some other establishments in the vicinity. Nice and clean with fresh decor. Nice pot of tea, toast and marmalade, pleasant and efficient service and good value!
The cakes they serve here really are fantastic. We had a gorgeous ginger cake, and a cream tea with the best scones I have had outside my own home! The coffee is excellent too, and the cafe is dog friendly, which is a real boon in Diss it is generally not. The staff were lovely. Diss is well worth a visit, especially on market day. Can't wait to go back!
