Zucca Bistro - South Lanarkshire

Today, we visited the restaurant that we have been loyal customers of for a long time. We have always enjoyed the delicious food since the Bistro's early days. Today, the food did not disappoint, but we were disappointed by the overall presentation of the restaurant, staff, and toilets. The restaurant floor was covered with used and unused napkins, food scraps, and chips, which were not cleaned up during service. The only toilet on the ground floor seemed to be neglected, with wet paper towels and an unclean wash basin. The staff, who were wearing masks, were not properly covering their noses and mouths, and we did not see them sanitizing their hands while handling dirty plates and fresh food. Despite the delicious food and good service, the restaurant's appearance was lacking cleanliness, with staff appearing untidy and lacking uniforms. This detracted from the overall experience.

Today, I went to this restaurant for breakfast with my daughter, who has special needs. The staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. A friendly girl named Clare allowed us to sit in a closed section of the restaurant to ensure that my daughter's loudness wouldn't disturb other diners. We both enjoyed delicious meals - I had the full Scottish breakfast and my daughter had the American breakfast. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. It was a great morning out and we had a lovely time.

Used to come with friends years ago and have recently come back. Have now been in a few times and meals have been delicious- staff team are very good and up for some banter.

First visit since re-opening did not disappoint! Visited about on a Saturday afternoon, there was a short queue but we waited no longer than mins. We were required to check-in as part of the track and trace but this was easy to follow...and staff were on hand to help. The menu (although cut down) was still quite extensive. I opted for the Southern Fried Chicken burger which was lovely as well as the white chocolate cheesecake which was devine! Will definitely be looking to return soon!

Love this little restaurant, preferably on a Wednesday when they do they’re pizza/pasta deal, such good value for money, never had a problem with the food and staff are always very efficient
