Having just spent around 2 hours in the Gardens we popped into the Bar for lunch. My wife had the soup of the day served with sourdough bread which I had Coronation Chicken sandwiches and salad. Perfectly adequate on a warm day. Afrer lunch it was back to the Gardens ....... View all feedback.

read moreThe Ilex restaurant at Holker Hall offers a Sunday lunch experience that has received mixed reviews. Some diners have enjoyed the ambiance and friendly service, while others have found the food to be lacking. Despite excellent starters, main courses have been hit or miss with overcooked fish and tough meat. Desserts have also received mixed feedback. The service has been described as slow and inexperienced, with some staff struggling to handle criticism. However, other diners have praised the delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service at The Ilex, making it a spot worth visiting for a relaxing meal in a beautiful setting.
