Aira Force Tearoom - South Lakeland

As with many others, we popped in here after walking up to see the waterfall. Excellent coffee and fab scones that went well with the jam and cream! The friendly and helpful team were very efficient.

The staff were the friendliest of any cafe I visited during my week in Glenridding. All very happy and extremely helpful. The best coffee I have had all week too. Lovely surroundings and I even used the boat from Glenridding and saved on parking. Coupled with a walk to see the waterfall (free entry) a great way to spend half a day.

Paid a visit here after a treck up the waterfalls, lovely little place, clean and welcoming. Made a big fuss over the pooch which pleased her. The caramel shortbread was to die for, and they also had doggie ice-cream which again pleased the pooch. Quite small inside but plenty of seating outside too. Would recommend.

I visited this restaurant over the Bank Holiday weekend and was able to secure a table. The sausage rolls were fantastic, as well as the soup and scones. There was a generous amount of food and it was reasonably priced.

Really popular tea rooms just near the bottom of Aira Force, so convenient for walkers on the newish Ullswater Way track, Waterfall visitors and people getting off the Ullswater steamers at the new landing stage. Lots of outdoor pucnic tables, well-spaced, as well as some inside, and the area around is bright with swathes of daffodils at this time of year. Friendly staff and crucially a good range of snacks (we loved the hot cross scones as well as the regular one) and good quality coffees. Loved it, as we have before, and we’ll most certainly be back. All those other customers can’t be wrong either….
