The Riverside Fish Bar Restaurant

The Riverside is definitely the top spot for fish and chips in the area! The staff is incredibly friendly and the fish is always cooked fresh. We ordered a large cod that was absolutely huge, and I mean huge. We are now loyal customers and couldn't be happier.

Visited for my partners birthday for lunch. Food was absolutely delicious and prices good. Only thing was price of a can of soft drink was a bit expensive. Would definitely go back here again.

What a great restaurant! It was fantastic, I ordered a large haddock and chips that was made to perfection. The staff were lovely and the reason for writing this review is because I thought the staff did absolutely fantastic when facing an awful customer who was completely out of order when demanding half price because the food wasn't good enough when he had eaten all of it! The staff were great with dealing with him even when he was advising customers walking in to not go there, which if I was them would have really made my blood boil, but they stayed calm and dealt with the situation fantastically. Very good fish and chips but found it very dirty when sitting at the table food all down the front of the table. I had to use a sterilising wipe to clean and wipers to clean absolutely disgusting.
