I have booked this pub with rooms unseen, on the good pub guide award for lincolnshire dining pub of the year. I stayed at several county winners and they are never disappointed. my wife and I believe that eating here for quality, variety and imagination must give the brownlow arms a shot at the national dining pub award. the best pub times I've ever had. our room was large and very comfortable. I have just to write this critique, had lunch in December on Sunday, I echo all current reviews, excellent eating, generous portions, and very attentive and friendly staff. there are small touches that make the difference, beautiful table linen, fresh bread and butter. we had courses in our group of five and all dishes were perfectly cooked. this is a jewel of a pub and unfortunately I live in suffolk and cannot make this a regular venue for a meal. this restaurant is worth making the way around, and if she can leave close I can boldly suggest her booking. it is so refreshing to visit a faultless pub/restaurant.
We were looking for a boutique accommodation on our way home from the Lake District and decided to stay at the Brownlow Arms in Lincolnshire. We called ahead to make a reservation and spoke with the owner, Lorraine, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The bed linen, towels, and bathrobes were of high quality. The bar had a cozy atmosphere and our dinner from the seasonal menu was excellent and a great value for the money. There was also a wide selection of wines available. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the table linen and glasses showed that this was a top-notch dining establishment. Thank you to Lorraine and her team - we will definitely be returning. This is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food and wine.
We made a reservation at this charming country pub for a Sunday afternoon last month, and we were very impressed with the food and service. The atmosphere was lovely, and we enjoyed a delicious meal of freshly cooked rosemary-infused sirloin steak with apple and blackberry crumble. There's not much more to say other than well done!
We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant on a Friday night! The staff was incredibly friendly and the hostess was out of this world! She was so kind and accommodating. We have been here multiple times already and the food is always excellent. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an English pub. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Five stars!
