The Tulip Queen By Marstons Inn

I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago on a Thursday night for dinner and to participate in the pub's weekly quiz. I ordered the steak and drink deal which was a great value. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the quiz was entertaining - all you needed was your phone!

We made a reservation for a bustling Saturday evening and were warmly welcomed and escorted to our extremely comfortable table. We decided to order the fish and chips (which my husband thought was better than Sheddy’s) and the beef madras (served with both naan and poppadum). Both dishes were incredibly delicious and were great value for the price. The staff were friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

The food at this restaurant was excellent, but the customer service from one lady was terrible. She appeared miserable when we were ordering drinks, and a simple smile would have been appreciated. It felt like she didn't want us there at all, and she was very blunt in her interactions with us. I believe she may have been one of the managers, so there was no excuse for her behavior, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. I was disappointed by her attitude. Additionally, my brother needed to show ID for his drinks, but he didn't have it on him. While this is understandable, the lady was very rude about it.

Food was unreal! I will definitely be coming back. The prices are outstanding, especially as the meals are so good. 10/10 experience

We arrived minutes before last orders for food but fortunately the staff displayed a 'can do ' attitude and we were made to feel most welcome. The food was good quality and served with a smile the friendliness being mirrored by all staff we came across. We were made to feel welcome from the time we entered to the moment we departed. The pub was clean and tidy, including the WCs. It was our first visit and it will not be the last!
