Thanks to all at the Bull for making June 10th such a special day for the birthday boys. Everybody was pleased with the excellent service, which gave more than i could hope for. The food was also greatly enjoyed by all, and everybody had a Lovely time. Thanks also for the fuss made over the other birthday boy on June 20th, we had a splendid meal and we were all replete and happy as we left. Once again, many thanks to... View all feedback.
What lilmissworry doesn't like about The Bull Inn:
We hadn’t been here before and had heard good things so thought we would give it a try. To be fair,I can’t comment on the food as we never got any. We got our drinks at the bar and said we had a table booked.....the lady said yes just go through and choose a table. A young lad came over, wasn’t that friendly really, seemed quite fed up. He took our stater orders but not our mains,we just sat with the menus on our knees... View all feedback.
This pub is truly fantastic - the staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. They have a great selection of beers on tap and a convenient car park. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit.
This restaurant used to be a welcoming village pub with delicious food available 7 days a week. However, after changing ownership, there have been mixed reviews. While our neighbor had a bad experience with the Sunday Carvery, we had a pleasant experience with a bar lunch midweek. We decided to visit after going to Spalding Market on a Tuesday. The bar menu was displayed outside and inside above the fireplace. The barmaid was friendly, but there were some disappointments. The only cask ale available was Doombar, which was imported from Cornwall instead of supporting local Lincolnshire breweries. We were the first customers of the day, and the first pint had too much froth. When we tried to order food, we were informed that they do not serve food on Mondays or Tuesdays. Another couple who had come in behind us promptly left. We decided to stay and finish our drinks, but were left in a deserted bar with loud daytime TV playing. A morose man later identified as the landlord came in, ignored us, and fiddled with the remote before leaving. The beer also had a vinegary taste, which is usually a sign that the first pint from a pump should be discarded. We have decided to go to The Ship instead from now on.
I had booked an event for 40 people at this restaurant. The carvery was good, but the vegetables were overcooked. The service was lacking, as only one waitress was left to clear the tables, take dessert orders, and serve desserts that were being prepared by only one dessert chef. It took 75 minutes for my dessert to arrive, which was unacceptable. Overall, the poor management of the restaurant was evident.
Booked places for New Years Day carvery, to then be told that dinner has been cancelled when I phoned to confirm about dropping off the deposit. Landlady said she’d investigate the cockup and phone me back within the hour- that was 3:30 on Saturday 29th Dec and still waiting. Terrible customer service so shall not be going back again or recommending the Bull Inn.

Nobody had come over to apologise for the wait or explain why it was taking so long. Really bad service. Won’t be going again :
