What An Old Burian doesn't like about Farm Shop Resturant:
Its a transport cafe and, as such, is fine in terms of quality and price and does benefit from some recent redecoration. Nothing salubrious, but thats not why you stop there View all feedback.
We have been visiting this restaurant for over 30 years while on our way to holidays from Norfolk. We recently learned that it will be closing at the end of the year, so we decided to have one final breakfast here. As always, the staff were polite and friendly, the service was fast, and the food was hot and delicious. The value for money was excellent, with a hearty meal costing only £7.50. Despite seeing many negative reviews, we have never had a bad experience here. It is truly sad to see this restaurant closing, marking the end of an era.
The restaurant had large signs advertising a big breakfast, but all they served was a simple sandwich with a sausage. I paid £11 for a sandwich and a tea in a disposable cup. I was disappointed and will not be returning, as there are much better dining options along that road.
The farm shop was ok in itself a bit expensive but the main problem was the toilet policy someone in my party has a toilet issue and has a medical exemption card which they had to present in order to use the toilet and this was mortifying for them to have to ask man in farm shop was sympathetic but by rights one shouldn't have to ask to use the toilet. Cafe was expensive and rude staff.
We visited the cafe on our way to an activity centre with 103 students on one of the hottest days of the year. Very patient staff and excellent service so we also called in on the journey back. Very clean and efficient service dealing with so many hungry, hot and very thirsty children. We also received free staff ice creams for having such polite children which was much appreciated. Thank you.
Absolutely atrocious customer service. Our rugby team stopped here on our way to Norfolk to grab a coffee, and a quick bite to eat…however, almost as soon as we walked in, we were challenged by an extremely confrontational lady who stated that we couldn’t go in, nor use the toilet as we hadn’t bought anything….we’d literally just walked in! I understand that they want to keep the toilets etc in a decent state for those who actually buy items, but to install a key code to use them, and to challenge us before we’d even had chance to buy anything, was simply awful- my rugby team by the way are U11s, so some of them found the lady’s attitude rather aggressive. Do yourself a favour, if you don’t want your day to be ruined by over-officious aggressive customer ‘service’ don’t stop here for any reason…..if however you enjoy being spoken AT and greeted with a growl rather than a hello, then this is the perfect place for you!
