La Ranchera - South Hams

Love La Ranchera! We have visited once before and were keen to visit on this trip to Devon. As big fans of Mexican food and always surprised at how few Mexican restaurants there are in the UK, we give La Ranchera 10/10! Amazing homecooked food, a super menu, and excellent warm service, I expect we will make a booking here on every visit. Special shout out for the hot sauce which my husband describes as 'not just sufficiently hot, but also with a fantastic flavour which is quite rare in hot sauces! Amazing little restaurant in Kingsbridge! Amazing food and great service, the staff cannot do enough for you. Thank you to Abi, Milka and Tianna . Great choices on the menu including for vegetarians. Less than a 5 minute walk from Kingsbridge square. A real hidden gem!

This place is first class. 7 of us visited and were were warmly welcomed food, cocktails/drinks and service were all excellent. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

This is by far our favourite restaurant in kingsbridge from Abi and Milka at the front of house to Betty who is the owner and cook. The food is simply outstanding and cooked fresh right in front of you there are 4 choices of spice for all dishes Extra hot,hot,medium and mild start at your lower limit and move up a notch on your return trip.We moved to kingsbidge in February and have tried nearly all the restaurants in kingsbridge like indian chinese and Turkish and La rancera blows them all out of the water on price and quality of service and food and if this is easily Kingsbridge hidden jewel and if it was in the town centre you would never be able to get a table. A brilliant chef/ owner cooking in public view and simultaneously managing staff. Up beat meet and greet. Great enthusiasm from Abbi front of house. She engaged and laughed with children and adults. Gluten free and other requests were no trouble. Relaxed. Great food. Fair price. Genuinely recommended.
