Cru - South Hams

We went to the Flavel to see a screening of King Lear straight from London. The performance was excellent, but unfortunately the cafe was closed when we arrived. We were unable to purchase a cup of coffee during the twenty-minute intermission, as only alcoholic beverages or two soft drinks were being served at the bar. It didn't ruin our evening, but we were really in need of some caffeine at that moment and were disappointed not to be able to get any.

I recently dined at Cru while on vacation in Dartmouth and was extremely disappointed. I paid for a roast beef sandwich that was very skimpy for the price. I left the restaurant feeling hungry and my wife felt the same way. We both felt robbed and will not be returning.

Just spent a lovely sunny weekend in Dartmouth and one of the highlights was this little gem of a cafe! It was the best pulled pork sandwich I think I've ever eaten, and the roast chicken sandwich my boyfriend had was absolutely delicious! And then...we shared a scrumptious carrot cake, washed down with some fantastic coffee. And, the staff were so welcoming, friendly and efficient, honestly the best place I've been to in a long time. I'll definitely be returning next time I come down to Dartmouth!

I discovered a small café in Dartmouth, hoping for a unique dining experience. Upon arrival, the place was empty, so I perused the paper menu. Sadly, the young lady who eventually came to assist me was rude and unhelpful. She informed me that I couldn't order anything from the menu in front of me as it was the old menu, hence why it was face down. The new menu consisted of sandwiches and soups. Despite feeling like I should have left then and there, I stayed and ordered a small sandwich, a slice of cake, and a coffee. The sandwich was presented on a bread board. Overall, I was disappointed with the service and food and will not be returning to this establishment.

The food was nice, but the service was terribly slow. I would go there again, but only if time wasn't an issue
