A large shop, with plenty of seating, good food at a reasonable price, most times. if nothing happening in centre, there are a lot of tables set up outside, good selection of drinks, I would recommend on of there special ice-cream milkshakes. View all feedback.
What Karlie Phillips doesn't like about Boswells Cafe:
My wife and I paid £3.50 for a bowl of dried out rather tough chips. Needless to say we were not very happy. Yes I complained and got my money back but my feeling is that they should not have been served in the 1st...place.. We will not be rushing back! View all feedback.
We have been going to Boswells for about 3 yrs every week and cant praise the staff and food enough. Mark the Manager is fantastic, never seen a man work harder than he does, He always has time to talk to customers and make sure...everything is ok, I would recomend people go there they wouldnt be disappointed. 5 stars all the way

When we visit Yate we always like to go to Boswells the food is always lovely and the staff are always helpful. They have plenty of staff and they all seem to be happy in their work. Tables are always cleaned and when observing I...see that the staff are always on hand to help people that need a hand taking drinks to their tables and anything they need. The restaurant has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and I liken it to a community meeting place. Lovely tasty food well cooked with a great choice and always a welcoming smile from the staff, which makes a huge difference to feeling welcome. Thank you to all I look forward to our next visit. A fried egg left to sit on a hot plate will grow tough on the bottom. Fried eggs should be cooked in shallow fat and have the hot fat splashed over the top.
Have eaten here several times in the past without problems. always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and eating, drinks and cleanliness to a good standard. with my daughter for a snack and a drink on Friday 17. June...2022 my daughter chose a bacon and brie panini melt with a nasalat and a glass koks, I chose a simple speck and mushroom baguette with a regular latte. almost £17, what would have been good if the food/drinks were as expected. we have retrieved serviettes, cutlery and serviettes and flew with our drinks on our table. when sitting we immediately noticed that on the outside of my daughter glass there were crustrated food residues, and when I took my spoon up to stir my latte, I noticed that it was dirty, with torn spots of tea/coffee. one of the knives we picked up was dirty. we exchanged the best and waited for our food. within 10 minutes the sandwiches were brought to our table. on the first side they were disappointed and that was just the beginning! my daughter “salad” consisted of 3 small salat leaves and 1 cherry tomato in half chopped and her melted panini was hardly tepid it contained 2 small pieces grisly thin cheap bacon/ham and thin slices of unmelted braut. my baguette was the size of a child share with 2 pieces cheap fat speck and a few mushrooms upstairs. it had no taste and I almost left half of it. I enjoyed my latte until I got halfway down when something brushed my lips. I found a piece of clear plastic about the size of a drawer head in the bottom of the cup. this signaled the end of our time in boswells. we both commented that we will never return again. filthy standards. to disappoint. no value for money
