The Ackee Court dishes here are absolutely delicious, especially the Tofu Curry. With about four vegan options available, this place likely offers the best vegan fare in Elephant. Every time I try the food, I find myself wanting to come back for more. It's definitely worth trying the ackee and callaloo when you're near Elephant Park! View all feedback.
What Cmeyah doesn't like about Tasty Jerk:
Nuh badda! Unauthentic bad tasting Caribbean style food. The restaurant setting is good and modern so you are expecting the food to be the same. Oh no it stops right there. We ordered the fried chicken meal £12.00 Three pieces of over fried chicken wings cut up to make it look more. Cheap boiled rice and a tablespoon of veg. Macaroni cheese £5.50 runny and tasteless. The ackee and calloo meal £12.00, was also a joke.... View all feedback.
Stumbled on this and it was a pleasant delight. Such a friendly welcome to a small homely restaurant. The food was very flavoursome, big portions and just overall tasty. Seperate vegan menu that's is easy accessible. I got chickpea curry with rice and peas and steamed veg. The dish was delicious. Ordered dumpling and festival as well. And they were so good with the curry.
We had the chickpeas Curry and the Ackee Callalou Curry and they were both so delicious!
The food here was absolutely amazing! It was not only delicious but also beautifully prepared and cooked. I truly appreciated the break from the many vegan options I've tried in London that often tasted quite artificial. This was simply well-prepared food. My partner left feeling satisfied and filled with joy!
The Ackee dishes here are fantastic, especially the Tofu Curry. With about four vegan options available, it's likely the best choice for vegans in Elephant. If everything tastes as good as the dishes I've tried, I can definitely see myself coming back often. If you find yourself near Elephant Park, it's definitely worth trying the ackee and callaloo!
Anyone who thinks chickpeas are dull clearly hasn't tried the chickpea cure at Tasty Jerk. The incredible depth of flavor in their vegan dishes is remarkable, and the portions are quite generous. The dumplings are large and cooked to perfection.
