I never had Cuban food, so I decided to try here. It was great, not fat. The sofrito was great in the ropa veja plate portions are good size, variety of people come to eat here. I even took a cafe con leche to love it. View all feedback.
I had the roast pork, which was incredibly tender, moist, and so flavorful that I didn’t even need the extra lime. The black beans were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of liquid to soak into the rice without turning into soup. The sweet plantains were caramelized just right, achieving a perfectly tender texture while still having a slight bite and crispy edges. My father tried the fried pork shreds, which were slightly less flavorful but still expertly prepared, with well-rendered fat combining beautifully with the tender meat. The entire place was spotless, and the service was extremely friendly. I mentioned to the woman at the counter (who I believe is the owner) that this was the best Cuban food I’d had in 10 years, and she beamed with pride. I can’t wait to go back for breakfast (Chicharron Breakfast?! Yes, please!) and for lunch (croquettes sandwich!).
I had never tried Cuban food before, so I decided to give this place a shot. It was fantastic and surprisingly light. The sofrito in the ropa vieja was excellent, and the portions were a good size. A diverse crowd comes here to enjoy the food. I even had a café con leche, which I absolutely loved!
Absolutely delicious!!! The plantains and cheese together are amazing, and the drinks were so tasty! She’s also just SO friendly and sweet!! We’re coming back for cake later today
Great food and people. While visiting Daytona I stopped here for taco's which were amazing! When I got back to Augusta Georgia I realized I left my favorite cowboy hat there. I reached out and asked for them to mail it back to me and I would pay for it. They sent the hat but would not take payment! Awesome People! Thank You Again.
I can confidently say that this place is as authentic as it gets! Whether you're in the mood for Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican cuisine, or more, there are plenty of options to satisfy any palate. I didn’t try the coffee myself, but my mother raved about how amazing it is. Every time I’m in the area, I will definitely make it a point to stop by this hidden gem.
