This hotel is very well maintained. From the lobby to the rooms, it's very clean. Our room did not have a microwave but it did have a fridge. Our room was on the first floor and our window opens to the atrium. Being a holiday, parking was on the full side. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from downtown so it made it easy. Let me start by saying I love double tree. I love the cookies. And service in general. But this was bit of a bad experience. I arrived an there was garbage Infront of my room, it wasn't removed for a few hours, until we called. Then they left the forks and knives and we had to call again. We had a plumbing issue. I saw people approaching the front desk and getting complimentary bottles of water, when I went for it, I was told it was 2$.Again it is a good brand, and I care about Hilton as a brand, so this is a review of this hotel specifically and not double tree. I will continue to stay at the double tree in the future just not this one.
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Clean rooms and well located. Nice shower and it’s always a plus when the shower and toilet are closed off from the sink. Our room was ready early which was nice.

I have stayed at this Doubletree two times. The location, especially when visiting UVM is fantastic. I love staying here with a dog. It’s quiet, rooms are very clean and spacious. I was very comfortable staying here as a single traveler. Appreciate all the walking space and green areas around for walking a dog and getting exercise.Rooms: Rooms are good size. Very comfortable beds, on the softer side. Lots of comfy pillows. All the necessities are in the room. Including a refrigerator, coffee maker and Crab Tree Evelyn products.Nearby activities: TOO many list! Short drive or do able walk to Church St and waterfront. UVM is directly next door and a very easy walk. Centennial Woods Natural Area is a nearby and can be accessed on foot from hotel.Safety: Hotel and immediate area seam very safe. I was comfortable walking my pup outside at night, but as always, be alert.Walkability: Plenty of sidewalks and a easy safe ways to walk to next door UVM.Noteworthy details: Dog Travel: Great hotel for traveling with your pup! Very dog friendly and relaxed about dogs in almost all areas. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but you could get breakfast to go and eat in the lovely, shaded terrace area. Big rooms with plenty of room for a crate or dog bed. Lots of green spaces and waste pick up stations. AND directly across the street from Petco if you forgot treats. ? There is also direct access to walk to UVM or Centennial Woods for a nice walk/hike.
Great location. Self parking compared to many of the hotels downtown. I appreciate being able to get my car quickly vs dealing with valet or parking garages downtown. Onsite restaurant great waitstaff and food. Close easy commute to airport and shopping. Friendly and welcoming front desk service. Property landscaping and plants create a very calm and welcoming environment. One of the best Doubletree Hotels I have stayed at in the last couple years.
